Be careful: support for CN881 chipsets is still experimental. It workswith some features disabled like stereo sound. Some color problems canappear. The support for MT2050 tuneris not yet complete and minor color problems can also appear.
These 3 TV card (pictures on your left) are supported by XdTV.(Be careful, the Maxi TV3 card is known as an Askey TVIEW CPH063card. This card has the number 38. I suggest you to have a look atCalimero configuration to configure it).
XdTV works also with several webcams (like philips ones).
To configure the BT8x8 driver you have to modify your /etc/modules.conffile (kernel series 2.4) or your /etc/modprobe.conf file(kernel series2.6).
With your Mandrake 10.x distribution, you must add the BTTVmodule inside the modprobe.preload file, if you want to have your TVactivated after every Linux restart.

With a Debian (kernel 2.4.x),you will have to create a tv file intothe /etc/modutils folder or you have to modify the /etc/modules.conffile. The /etc/modprobe.conf file was remplacedby this one: /etc/modprobe.d/old_etc_modprobe.conf
Now you can configure the bttv driver through this file:/etc/modprobe.d/bttv.

Gentoo users can find a file named video intheir /etc/modules.d/ directory. They will have to edit it. Next,you will have to launch update-modules command with root right toupdate yourmodules.conf or modprobe.conf file and then you will have to reloadmodules.
Last BTTV drivers propose to automatically detect which TV cardand Tuner you use. This detection seems to work great with plentyof cards (based on BT878/879a or CN787/879). With older TV cards (basedon Bt848/849) you must add manually allneeded options in the configuration files shown above.
